Volunteer Position: Social Media Correspondent
CUSP is seeking the volunteer services of an individual interested in helping us further our mission The Coalition for the Upper South Platte seeks to protect the water quality and ecological health of the Upper South Platte Watershed, through the cooperative efforts of watershed stakeholders, with emphasis placed on community values and economic sustainability” through active and timely development of social media marketing tools and outlets.

Job Description: Organize, describe, convey and update information about CUSP programs and activities through social media sources. Identify and cultivate new media tools, platforms, techniques and strategies to engage current supporters, engage new audiences and potential funders. Actively monitor and utilize social media accounts on behalf of CUSP. Work with Key CUSP staff to determine activities and programs to be highlighted through these platforms

 The appropriate candidate for this volunteer position will:

  • Demonstrate creativity and documented immersion in social media
  • Have excellent and dynamic writing skills
  • Have a solid grasp of basic journalistic standards & ethics
  • Be proficient in Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and blogging

Time:  During the first few weeks of setting up accounts and learning about the organization, anticipate 8-10 hours of volunteer service and then 2-3 hours per week thereafter.
